COVID-19 UPDATE: Keeping you informed

At the height of COVID -19 pandemic, we at Congema Safaris have skewed our focus towards enhancing our capacity to guarantee our dearest visitors’ safety.

We have trained our tour guides on the safety measures as per World Health Organisation (WHO) and Tanzania’s Ministry of Health guidelines in our efforts to ensure maximum safety on tourists during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Congema safaris Tour Guides are now acquainted with the Tanzania’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)’s guidelines that direct all key steps from receiving tourists at the airports or other borders to hotels and then to the national parks.

Basically, we are sure all staffs have necessary knowledge and information to help them deliver world-class services to our esteemed tourists.

Our passionate appeal for our cherished clients is, if necessary, to re-schedule and not cancel your holiday to Tanzania as a way to support small-scale businesses like ours who wish to be there to serve you in the future.

It goes without saying; your visit also supports the local economy of your favorite destination.

The East Africa’s natural resources richest country has since June 2020 opened its sky for tourists, becoming the pioneer country across the World to welcome visitors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Operating in Tanzania, one of the top tourist destinations in the world, thanks to its amazing wilderness, incredible natural landscapes and friendly people, Congema safaris is proudly bona fide member of Tanzania Association of tour Operators (TATO).

TATO, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism and the Ministry of Health have partnered and set-up containment and evacuation system for tourists in the Northern Circuit (Serengeti/Tarangire/Manyara/Arusha/Kilimanjaro).

This has been achieved by rolling out four bush-ready Toyota Landcruiser ambulances and a modern, tented medical facility in Seronera (Serengeti National Park) all of which are fully equipped to an international standard and able to handle COVID-19 cases.

In addition, the medical evacuation organizations (such as Emergency air evacuation companies and Flying Doctor) were contracted to ensure that their services would seamlessly integrated with this system in order to evacuate those cases that require hospitalization to the nearest centre of excellence, such as FAME in Karatu, Arusha Lutheran Medical Centre or elsewhere.
