The Local Fishing tour in Zanzibar offers a half-day excursion that kicks off promptly in the morning, usually starting at 6:00 am or 7:00 am. As a locally-inspired activity, we embark on our journey by hoisting the sail to one of the villages situated around the island. This trip offers a valuable opportunity for those interested in learning about traditional fishing practices on Zanzibar Island. Accompanied by our knowledgeable local captain, you’ll embark on a journey near Bawe Island, renowned for its abundance of tropical fish thriving within protected coral reefs.

During the tour, we provide you with simple fishing gear, reflective of what local fishermen use to catch a variety of fish species including barracuda, kingfish, yellow fin tuna, and grouper.
