Our 6 days big five safari from Zanzibar will start with a morning flight to Arusha! You’ll get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater national parks on this trip. In some of Northern Tanzania’s most diversified natural habitats, Lake Manyara National Park’s clear streams, verdant forests, and towering highlands provide a remarkable experience. Tarangire is renowned for its sizable giraffe herds as well as the enormous African elephant! The Serengeti has been dubbed one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders because of its breathtaking wildebeest migration and endless savannah plains. Additionally, the Serengeti is a great place for quiet reflection. The Ngorongoro Crater is the only complete caldera in the entire globe, and it is home to numerous large African animals and rare vegetation.

The safari concludes in Arusha with a flight back to Zanzibar. If you want to end the tour in Arusha, we may drop you off at Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport and deduct the cost of your return flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar early in the morning and drive you straight to the international airport in Zanzibar. When you arrive in Arusha at around 9:15 am, your driver guide will be there to pick you up and take you to Tarangire National Park.. Here you can see giant, upside-down baobab trees and termite mounds that are two stories high. There is no denying that Tarangire National Park has a serene mood thanks to the breathtaking environment and an abundance of wildlife. Additionally, the approximately 300-strong colony of African elephants is a sight to witness. African male adult elephants are the largest living terrestrial creatures, weighing seven tonnes. Tarangire’s savannah is also home to hardy African lions, giraffes, toothy warthogs, ostriches, impalas, agile cheetahs, mongooses, water buffalo, and red-bottomed baboons.

You will drive to your hotel later in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

A wonderful drive to the Serengeti National Park will be followed after a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel/camp. We’ll travel the picturesque route to Serengeti, which will allow us to see Ngorongoro Crater from above. During the trip, there is a decent opportunity of seeing wildlife. The Serengeti is one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders because of the endless golden savanna and the vivid patterns of zebras, lions, and elephants. We’ll take a picnic lunch break at the park’s most well-known kopje, a little elevation in an otherwise level location from where visitors can view the vast Serengeti plains below. After that, we’ll take a leisurely wildlife drive across the Serengeti, where you’ll probably spot giraffes, elephants, and herds of zebras. You’ll spend the night at your selected lodge/camp, where zebra, lions, and gazelles’ roars will lull you to sleep.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park Full Day

The breathtaking Serengeti will be our playground for the whole day. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll continue our journey into the plains. You will almost certainly see hundreds of the varied animals that live in the Serengeti. The park’s classic African animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and water buffalo, are likely to be seen today, all within a short distance of the jeep. The park’s lesser-known but no less gorgeous inhabitants, including elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelope, will also be visible to visitors.

In the evening we will head back to our lodge/camp

Day 4

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Before moving on to Ngorongoro Crater, we will do one last game drive in the Serengeti. We will arrive at the Ngorongoro conservation Authority late in the evening directly to our lodge/camp which is located on the crater rim and offers spectacular views of the sun setting over the caldera’s grassland. After watching the sunset, we will dine and overnight ready for the new day to unfold.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Since early mornings are optimal for observing animals, particularly inside the broken caldera, we will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater early in the day. Among the strongest animals in Africa include the ferocious lion, the huge elephant, the cunning leopard, the charging rhino, and the powerful water buffalo. We’ll have a picnic lunch at a lagoon filled with hippos inside the crater after a leisurely morning wildlife drive. While we enjoy our snacks and sandwiches, we can watch the hippos splash around. The Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for offering a special environment for wildlife, which thrives within the safe shelter provided by the caldera’s sheer walls.

Millions of years ago, a huge volcano erupted, smashing it but leaving a perfectly intact crater. It is unique in the entire world. During the Ngorongoro Crater drive, visitors can anticipate seeing zebra, hippos, wildebeest, and cackling hyenas. Similar to this, vultures and hawks patrol the air in search of an abundant feast of leftover carcasses while flocks of stunning flamingos relax in Soda Lake. Storks, ibises, and cranes are some of the water birds found in the crater. After lunch, our game drive will come to a close, and we’ll start the trek back to camp.

We will drive to Karatu in the evening to our lodge/camp for dinner and overnight

Day 6

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Zanzibar

On our last day of safari, we’ll go to Lake Manyara National Park. In order to start our game drive in time to observe the Big Five species, we will have an early breakfast. Beautiful yet diverse landscapes may be seen in Lake Manyara National Park, which is situated at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Later in afternoon we will depart Lake Manyara heading to Arusha Airport ready for our flight back to Zanzibar. Visitors will be in awe of the spectacular landscape as we pass by Maasai bomas, baobab woods, and rolling savannah grasslands on our way to Arusha.
