Day 1: Nairobi - Naivasha via Hell's Gate National Park

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi, where you’ll be driven to the picturesque Lake Naivasha. En route, we’ll make a stop at Hell’s Gate National Park, a captivating reserve that features a mix of savannah and escarpment ecosystems. This park is home to over 100 species of birds, including vultures, verreaux’s eagles, and augur buzzards, as well as a variety of mammals such as buffaloes, zebras, elands, hartebeests, and Thomson’s gazelles. You may also spot the klipspringer antelope.

After exploring Hell’s Gate, continue your journey to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake surrounded by lush landscapes. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the tranquil surroundings. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can opt for an optional boat safari (at an additional cost) on the lake, where you may encounter hippos and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

For those who prefer an active exploration, take a bike ride through Hell’s Gate, where you can ride through the park’s open landscapes, spotting wildlife up close in a truly unique way.
