Commencing with a 45-kilometer drive from Moshi town, which typically takes about an hour, the journey initiates at Marangu gate. Here, mandatory registrations and payment of the park entrance fee are essential to obtain a valid permit for commencing the hike. The Marangu gate is positioned at an altitude of 1879 meters above sea level.

Mandara Huts

Your destination for the day is the Mandara Hut, a cozy haven perched at 2,720 meters above sea level. Arrive here and be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of Kibo, Kilimanjaro’s volcanic cone, piercing the azure sky like a celestial spear.

Scale the Maundi Crater Rim

The geological history of Maundi Crater reveals that during volcanic activity, insufficient pressure prevented the magma from erupting. Consequently, rather than rising upward, the magma’s pressure led to the formation of this unique crater.

Transfers to and from the Kilimanjaro National Park entry gate are provided.

Transportation from the Kilimanjaro National Park exit to the hotel is included.

All park fees, including conservation fees, vehicle fee, rescue fee, and other charges by the Tanzania National Parks Authority, are covered.

A picnic lunch is provided during the hike.

Each participant receives one water bottle.

Exclusions

Accommodation and Meals: Not included before and after the hike.

Personal Gear Rentals: Rental costs for personal gear are not covered.
