Day 1: Pick-up in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from your tour guide, who will meet you at your hotel in Kigali with a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle.
Before leaving the city, you’ll pay a moving visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. This visit offers a chance to reflect on Rwanda’s past and witness its inspiring journey of recovery and resilience.

Afterwards, you’ll hit the road heading northwest, enjoying a scenic 2.5-hour drive through rolling hills, terraced farms, and bustling local markets. The landscape is a photographer’s dream and a perfect introduction to the natural beauty of Rwanda.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & Scenic Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a comprehensive briefing on golden monkey trekking. You’ll then embark on an exciting hike through the lush rainforest of Volcanoes National Park, in search of the playful and endangered golden monkeys. Once spotted, you’ll have up to one magical hour to observe and photograph these unique primates in their natural habitat.

After this unforgettable wildlife encounter, your journey continues with a scenic cross-border drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, home to the highest population of mountain gorillas. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi

Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Here, experienced rangers will guide you through the rules and etiquette of gorilla encounters. Led by an expert ranger guide, you’ll venture deep into the dense, misty jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, tracking one of the habituated gorilla families.

Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll spend a remarkable hour in their presence, observing their behavior from just 10 meters away. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a true highlight of any Uganda wildlife safari.
