A 3-day Serengeti fly-in safari from Zanzibar to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater is a great way to experience the best of Africa’s wildlife. The safari will start with a flight from Zanzibar directly to the Serengeti, where you will meet your guide and start your game drive right away in the Serengeti. The next two days will be spent on game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. You will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals, and to learn about the ecology of the region from your guide.

On the last day of the safari, you will fly back to Zanzibar. You will have the opportunity to relax on the beach or explore the island before your flight home.

Day by Day

Day 1: Fly from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

You will fly to the Serengeti National Park from Zanzibar in the morning. You will arrive in the Serengeti around 11:00 am in the morning, Relax as you see Tanzania’s breathtaking scenery unfold under you.

Our driver will be waiting for you when you arrive in at seronera airstrip, the guide will give you a brief review of what’s to expect ahead in the next three amazing days of your life, you will then start your day-long tour in the Serengeti with picnic lunch. You’ll pursue the enormous herds of zebras and wildebeest, hunt for lions lounging on rocks, spot wary leopards in acacia trees, and be in awe of the majestic elephants and giraffes as they graze.

You’ll have a brief picnic lunch while on safari during the day and drive to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Matawi Serengeti Camp (Mid-range tented camp located inside Central Serengeti NP)

Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

The finest opportunity to watch predators in action is during a morning game drive on the Serengeti, which you will undertake. Additionally, you’ll get to witness a breathtaking Serengeti sunrise as the rising light appears to set the savannah on fire.

It’s time to leave for Ngorongoro after a late breakfast. Your driver will try his best to make sure you see the Big Five, the Wildebeest Migration, or anything else your heart may desire along the road.

The biggest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and it provides habitat to over 30,000 animals.

After leaving the park, you can head straight to your lodging to unwind.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

You will start early on the final day of your safari. After a brief breakfast, you’ll start your early morning descend into the crater bottom at roughly 6:30 AM. The biggest intact, inactive, and empty volcanic caldera in the world is the Ngorongoro Crater. 

It has a huge floor area of over 260 square kilometers and a depth of more than 2000 feet. You will see a lot of animal activity during the five-hour game drive on the crater bottom. Keeping the camera at the ready is unquestionably advised. 

There are several African elephants, buffalo, black rhinoceroses, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. After eating a picnic lunch beside the lovely Hippo pool, you will start the ascent to the crater’s top exit. You will then drive to Arusha Airport for you flight back to Zanzibar.
