Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari

Start your day with an early, hearty breakfast before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for an important pre-trek briefing at 8:00 AM. Your expert guide will provide all the necessary information before you set off into the lush rainforest in search of one of the world’s most iconic and endangered species, the mountain gorilla.

Your gorilla trek could take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once located, you’ll spend a magical one hour in their presence, watching them feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. This is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience that few ever forget.

Keep your eyes peeled along the way, golden monkeys, elephants, buffalos, and a variety of bird species may cross your path.
After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-earned lunch and a bit of rest.

In the afternoon, the adventure continues:
Visit the serene Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, beautifully framed by the surrounding volcanoes.
Take a guided community walk, where you can witness traditional dances, learn about local customs, and connect with the warm Rwandan culture.
End your day with a relaxed evening back at your lodge, reflecting on the unforgettable encounter with the gorillas.
