Day 1: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, your Kenya wildlife tour begins as you are picked up from your hotel and transferred to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, make a stop at the breathtaking Great Rift Valley for panoramic views and photo opportunities. 

Maasai Mara is one of East Africa’s premier wildlife destinations, known for its vast rolling grasslands and undulating hills that host an incredible variety of African wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, traveling south through Hoima. Along the way, enjoy the stunning scenic views of tea plantations in the Fort Portal region. Upon arrival at Kibale, you’ll have a delicious lunch before relaxing at your lodge. 

Alternatively, you can take a community tour of the surrounding village to experience the local culture. This will be a perfect way to unwind before the next adventure in Uganda’s beautiful rainforest.

Day 7: Full Day at Kibale National Park

After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for having the highest number of primate species in the world. With around 5,000 chimpanzees living in the wild in Uganda, the park is famous for its 13 primate species, including the rare I’Hoest’s monkey, black-and-white Colobus, blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, and the olive baboon, among others. Enjoy a 2-3 hour chimpanzee trekking experience in the forest.

After lunch, continue on a Bigodi Swamp walk, where you can spot various bird species and smaller mammals, making it a perfect opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers to capture the beauty of Uganda’s diverse ecosystems.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After lunch, embark on a unique 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This 42 km waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George, offering exceptional photographic opportunities. As you glide along the channel, you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. This is a fantastic opportunity for nature lovers and wildlife photographers alike.

Day 9: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbucks, Uganda kob, topis, and bushbucks among others.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Ishasha sector of the park in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. This unique behavior makes the Ishasha sector a must-see, offering an exciting opportunity to witness these majestic lions in their natural habitat.

Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The picturesque landscape of the Kigezi hills provides a stunning backdrop for your transfer, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding areas as you make your way to this iconic destination.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Known for its population of mountain gorillas, the trek can be unpredictable as the gorillas move throughout the forest. 

You will head out with a packed lunch, ample drinking water, and comfortable gear, including strong boots and a light rain jacket to accommodate the forest’s unpredictable weather. The park rangers will provide walking sticks to assist you during the trek. 

Please note, visitors are permitted to spend one hour with the gorillas, as part of the conservation efforts. Your ranger guide will also provide valuable insights on how to behave around these magnificent creatures, ensuring a safe and respectful experience.

Day 12: Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will depart for Kampala, with an exciting stop at the Equator for some memorable photos.
