Gorilla Tracking in Rwanda - Volcanoes National Park

Your day begins early with a 4:30 am pickup from your hotel in Kigali. You’ll embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival around 7:00 am, you’ll attend a detailed pre-trekking briefing at the park headquarters, where you’ll be assigned a gorilla family group and meet your ranger guide.

At around 8:30 am, you’ll enter the forest for your trek in search of the gorillas. The duration of the trek can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the movement of the gorilla group. Once found, you’ll have the magical opportunity to spend one full hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, a truly humbling and unforgettable experience.

After the trek, you’ll return to the base for a trekking certificate and enjoy lunch before beginning the return drive to Kigali, arriving in the early evening.
